Employee EngagementThis edition of Essentials looks at a research paper focused on employee engagement. The authors aim to uncover some key aspects of building higher engagement and we unpack this to present some key reflections. 

What Is Being Covered?

Jena and Pradhan look at employee engagement overall as well as the critical factors leading to stronger engagement. They note that research indicates engagement is a “positive work attitude where people value, believe, and enjoy what they do”. It is also noted that engagement involves people having the feeling of accomplishment being more important than pay. They summarize that engagement comprises a few interrelated elements.
